The loving care of the Good Shepherd, the unique blessings for the sheep, the comfort for wandering and lost sheep, the stern warning against false shepherds – all are called to mind in various places in Scripture. Here Peter pictures the flock of God stalked by its chief foe: Satan. In the framework of this hostile environment Peter urges: Live as God’s Flock.
